Reiki practitioners act as a conduit for this energy, which is said to flow through all living things.
Reiki lineage
A Reiki lineage is the unbroken chain of teachers and attunements tracing back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. It's like a family tree, showing the direct transmission of Reiki knowledge and energy from one teacher to the next. Lineages are considered valid if they can be traced back to Usui without any gaps.
What is a Reiki Lineage?
Family Tree Analogy:
Imagine a family tree where each person is a Reiki Master or teacher who has been attuned by a Reiki Master before them.
Attunements:
Attunements are the primary way Reiki is passed on from teacher to student, establishing the lineage.
Unbroken Chain:
A valid lineage needs to be an unbroken chain of teachers, starting with Usui and continuing through each teacher who passed on Reiki.
